Dexter – TV Series

A plot where a serial killer is put in as a protoganist sounds surprising, but Dexter is exactly that, and when he disembarks on his journey of clearing up the mess of the society, the killer inside you seems to be on his side.

Dexter is a blood splatter analyst in the Miami Police Department. He is a serial killer too, but with a difference, he was trained by his dad(a cop) to control the beast inside him. And how does he do that?…he only kills people with a bad track record..people who are set free because the judiciary couldnt prove they were guilty.

The title track of the series is gory in its own way. The picturisation of the title track is brilliant with the mosquito, blades, eggs and laces that add to the butchery feel that swirls around you.

The track that plays just before Dexter begins his killing is again awesome. The track switches your mind into excitement mode and your heart misses a beat to tell him to do it quickly or he will get caught;

Surprisingly and honestly, you seem to like the killings(atleast I did..but I am no serial killer).

Another concept that I liked was the voice of Dexter that plays in the background when Dexter starts to think with his funny facial expressions. It is intelligent, sarcastic and funny, and more importantly matches to thinking of a serial killer who doesnt have emotional drawing towards anyone and treats people more like objects.

Michael Hall has done an admirable job playing Dexter, a serial killer(no doubt he has recieved nominations and awards at some of the highest award functions for television). He looks messy all of the time. He reminds me of the serial killer, Sylar, from the Heroes Series.

    You said it buddy. Exactly what I think of this brilliant sitcom. Excellent picturisation, super-cool acting and the sarcasm, down-right funny to the core.
